We feel that Chamblee Development must have a goal to have the most apartments per square foot built within the the city. This development will not only increase that goal but infringe on the very residents that invested in the community by buying homes and paying property taxes. We would implore anyone interested in advancing the interests of home ownership in the community not to ignore our well being. We can not imagine the occupancy rate of the multitude of apartment units will be sustained even at present but certainly not over the next decade. The developers will be long gone moving on to other cities willing to put homeownership behind rapid development. Our city will be the recipient of increased traffic, increased school over crowding and demands for public services in the short term and eventually a multitude of vacant apartment units! Approval of this development is not a win for Chamblee!
