Cassandra Clare, author of the Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series, expressed that she would like her cat to be Chairman Meow on her Tumblr. I think this is a reasonable request considering we wouldn't even have the movie without her. This is to show her that there is fan support for this. She personally does not want to be in the movie, she just wants her cat in it.
