There is no mistreatment of animals in Irish circus. Stop harassing the circus and take the activists off their pedestal.

Please keep animals in circuses. These animals are extremely well looked after, it's a huge tradition.

animals are well looked after in the Irish Circus, and should not be banned from them,

We all need to stand together we need to get every circus fan/people to contact their local TD's to help us on this keep animal circuses alive we can win this if we all stand together

I have attended Circuses for the past 30 years on a regular basis and up to now, have yet to see anything which I believe is to the detriment of a Circus animal. I have however seen animals treated extremely well, all the animals I have seen have been fully fit, healthy, well fed and to me, appeared to be in very good condition overall. To me, to ban something simply because some people disagree with the practise is stupid! To justify this potential ban, exactly what has Circuses in Ireland done that is so wrong. From what I can see so far nothing. To the best of my knowledge, NO Irish circus, Irish animal trainer/presenter/animal care staff has been taken to court on cruelty or abuse charges. SO Mr Murphy why do you push for a ban. Why is it, when someone discusses circus animals, its always the best option is a BAN. There is never a compromise with the AR groups. The best thing that can happen, is that this Bill is thrown out and everyone leaves the Irish Circuses alone to do what they do, which is bring joy and happiness to thousand upon thousands of families. Mr Murphy, if you wish to do something positive for animals in the circus, propose that a new strict set of Regulations comes in for the overall welfare of circus animals. Strict rules and guidelines that all circuses in Ireland would need to follow. That's the best way forward. That's the only way forward. A ban is NOT the answer!

I totally disagree with this Bill as Circus people in Ireland look after and care for their animals. The Dail would be better advised to focus elsewhere as annimals are being mistreated in our society. I've never seen anything but a happy animal in any circus in Ireland.

I wish to point out circus is one of the only if not the only form of travelling entertainment that has survived during the evolution of technology. The animals I have seen travelling in circus are treated to the highest standard and are treateduch better than some animals who are domesticated pets. Paul Murphy needs to open his eyes to the truth
