Ceta allows Canadian and US corporations, through Canada, to sue the Irish State under certain conditions if they have real or anticipated losses in profits. Determination is by a new Court system specially set up for Ceta. This is not in accordance with the Irish Constitution.

The four Irish MEPs that voted in favour of ceta did this against the wishes of the people of Ireland.

We seriously have to stop selling our country to the multinational cooperation. We are becoming slaves to their materialistic agenda and bolstering their profits.

These toxic trade deals need to be stopped. Corporate control of all aspects of our lives from education, to medical treatment, food standards and banned pesticides. The only safeguards are to be placed on a negative list, non existent to date, other than four of insignificance. Anything and everything not on this list can, and will, be privatised. Under the auspicious of courts, corporations can sue government for possible losses in the future. The simplest way to avoid being sued will be for ministers to sit down with corporate lobbyists to decide policies.

Too important an issue for our Government to decide on.... given their track record lately of alternative facts. Lets have a real debate on this and a referendum. Irish people are intelligent enough to make an informed decision as to who really benefits from CETA

We need to stop this as we can't give away any more money , like we are to the bond holders . This is supposedly a democratic country so we should have the right to decide .
