The news just came in that the referendum is moving forward and I am truly stunned by the outcome. This belongs to all of you who stepped up to bring attention to this issue when it seemed like no one was listening. We have a lot of work left to …
We demand that Ceta can only be ratified, or not, by referendum.
Ceta allows Canadian and US corporations, through Canada, to sue the Irish State under certain conditions if they have real or anticipated losses in profits. Determination is by a new Court system specially set up for Ceta. This is not in accordance with the Irish Constitution. Please sign and share.
I have been hearing from so many of you who are worried about how these corporate courts might change our country. Honestly I started this thinking it would be a small thing but your commitment to this issue is what makes it matter. I am currently putting together a summary of the concerns you all have sent over to share with officials.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this effort since I started it in my living room. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I never imagined the conversation would reach this many people.

Where is the public discussion by our political parties and media on a trade agreement that was formulated in secret and designed by vested Corporate interests?

CETA is primarily a corporate charter, drafted by the corporate interests & for their benefit only. The only ones who can avail of the ISDS/ICS are the big corporate multinationals as they have the legal & financial resources to do so, more than other types of businesses.

I do not support CETA. It favours large corporations and will destroy local farming which has high standards of non-GM products and no hormones in animals. No!

Too important an issue for our Government to decide on.... given their track record lately of alternative facts. Lets have a real debate on this and a referendum. Irish people are intelligent enough to make an informed decision as to who really benefits from CETA

Yet more undemocratic ratification of treaties by the Eu on our behalf. At a minimum this should be voted on by means of a referendum as its opens our country to the suing of by private corporations for loss of earnings etc
