Cessation of plans to re-zone the only usable Open Space for Clairville Lodge

This rezoning plan is outrageous

I would prefer the clairville green to be kept re-zoned green space as this is the only sizeable safe space for the kids of our estate to play on. The other reason is the lack of safe driving access via Streamstown Lane. As it stands we ALL have to pull in for one another to access the Dublin road on Streamstown Lane. There is no two way access

I think this area should be retained for people to enjoy

Please leave this area as a recreational space for residents to enjoy

Please retain this green space as it a the only suitable recreational area for children and adults in our community .

Rounding the corner to Clairville to see the children playing on the green is a happy sign of being home. Taking this amenity away from our community would be a huge shame. As a Dad of a 4 year old and with another baby coming at Christmas I feel well placed to state that we do not need a crèche but instead to retain the space as is for the residents of Streamstown.

This open space is extensively used by the residents of Clairville and the wider Streamstown area and is a fantastic and very important local amenity enabling kids to play with their neighbours in a safe environment.

This is a very important piece of green space for our families in Clairville. No one has any interest in a crèche after living here since the build was opened in 2018? We have all organised our kids already !

Please don't rezone the green keep it for the kids of the area to enjoy.

Cannot begin to imagine the traffic chaos that would arise if a creche was built in this area. Roads are too narrow in parts for 2 way traffic, they have little, if any pedestrian access or safe cycle ways. The land is best used for recreation purposes and to provide a safe environment for children to play together

Streamstown lane is a narrow single lane , and does not permit children To safely cycle or even walk on road . Maintaining The green space at Clairville lodge is essential for play and recreation , to allow families to meet and groups play ball, run and to feel safe .

Children need green space for their growth.

The re-zoning of children’s play area at Streamstown would be a blow to children as this is the only safe space to play. Streamstown Lane (access lane) is also unsafe and is still a ‘lane’ and not a road. It’s an outrageous consideration.

I have lived in Streamstown since the early 80s and have seen huge growth and change in the area since then. The lands in question are used not only by the families living in Claireville Lodge but also those from Park Avenue, Streamstown Wood, Streamstown Meadows and my own children and neighbours who live further up the lane. This area has inadvertently brought a sense of community to the area where both children and adults have come to gather and it would be a great shame to take that away.
