Should private home be certified?
Currently in Minnesota, there are no requirements or regulations placed upon private home inspectors. Sellers of property are allowing unaccompanied access to their homes to people claiming to be a Private Home Inspector with no background checks or requirement to display competency.
I agree that Minnesota should join the 31 other states which require Private Home Inspectors to be able to pass an exam about housing components and to have undergone a criminal background check
