The transit authorities finally agreed to reopen the direct access route and fix the bottlenecks on the Bonaventure. I am relieved that my commute will finally be predictable again because this change brings real sanity back to our daily lives. Thank you for staying with me through this long struggle …

Getting from downtown to the South Shore has become aa nightmare. The first obstacle starts as soon as we try to get to the reserved bus lane. The second obstacle starts on the Bonaventure autoroute just before getting on the bridge. his has become WORSE since the new bridge has ben built. the third obstacle is on Lapiniere (since we no longer have the underpass that used to bring us straight to Chevrier). The commute time from downtown to South Shore has MORE than doubled. This is unacceptable.

Seeing so many of you echo my frustration with these ridiculous bottlenecks confirms I am not just imagining the chaos of my daily commute. It feels empowering to know we are all tired of losing hours of our lives sitting in traffic on the way home to our families.

We drive much farther down Boul Gaetan Laberge to access the reserved bus lane to return to the south shore. The police are controlling the traffic and causing more delays. It takes up 1.5 hours to get to the shore in rush hour traffic. It is quicker to drive than take public transportation at this point.

I wonder why the bus companies put up with this ! Makes their buses late and makes people want to drive in instead. Why stand still in a hot bus when I can stand still in my car with AC ? It’s not green - but my face Is after an hour on the bus ...

Cauchemar. Prenez votre auto cela ira mieux.

I am lucky I have the option to work from home because the bus takes so long now ..I have to leave the office earlier and earlier to get back in time to pick up my son from daycare and I get to work later and later I can’t even do a full day when I try to go in to town now
