Please make no changes to Seminary Road. Just repave the road.

This area is too congested and the streets have too many hills to be prime bike territory. Please don’t make our already difficult commuting problems worse.

The first bullet should be expanded to read: "The Traffic & Parking Board reject any recommendation from T&ES or any other party that proposes reducing the number of motor vehicle lanes on Seminary Road between Kenmore Avenue and Quaker Lane."

Leave Seminary Road as is...a four lane road!!

narrowing main arteries causes more congestion and makes zero sense .. as usual the City responds to special interests and developers and ignores the rest of us. There are no bike commuters; and if there were they should use non artery roads; it is ridiculous to think that families in an area with single family homes are going to begin using bikes to commute and do errands.

Another near fatal car crash on Seminary last week! Now we are going to add peds on bicycle fatalities to the mix?? Now that's total negligence!

The City is proposing solutions in search of a problem - which doesn’t exist on Seminary Road. Bike lanes are choking streets and cater to a tiny group that is now embedded in the City’s process. Alexandria BPAC has a serious COI, and shouldn’t be allowed to be on any advisory committee. Stop forcing drivers into neighborhoods thereby creating hazards for residents.

Please, not another bike lane. Bikers have taken over our city and to have it on a street where the hospital is, endangers those who need medical assistance quickly!

We can't afford another street made smaller.

I live in the West End and use Seminary Road every day. This plan is simply short sighted and narrow minded. School buses, ambulances, firetrucks (and 1000's of drivers) just don't mix with a handful of occasional bikes.

I strenuously oppose to the plan to reduce Seminary Rd to one lane for safety as well as the greater congestion it will create.

Please for the sake of those who travel by automobiles and for sake of Emergency vehicle and buses keep Seminary Road a 4 lane road.

There is no evidence whatsoever of any safety issue on that stretch of road that might support the proposal

I travel through the traffic nightmare of the Patrick Henry construction site to east bound Seminary each morning. I have had to leave 15 minutes earlier than I have done for 15 years. The traffic coming west bound, likely headed to 395 or the BRAC bldg is heavy and increasingly impatient. Taking away a lane is a ridiculous and ludicrous idea.

TES is trying to destroy Seminary Road. It needs to remain the way it is and remove distractions of bike lanes. King Street is a disaster, especially the one lane devoted only to going to TC Williams. Seminary Road via Pickett is the main entry point into the Brookville Seminary Valley area of the West End, where 900 people live. The City and the State and the Federal government squandered MILLIONS of dollars on the ludicrous ramp off #395 which is rarely used for BRAC workers. Stop destroying my part of town with theories sprouting from TES

Reducing lanes for cars will have a significantly negative impact upon my family, who rely on Seminary to take our kids to school, church, activities, shopping, work, and other activities. I oppose Alternatives 2 and 3 and support Alternative 4 endorsed by the Seminary Hill Association.

We need to install safety measures however Alternative 3 is NOT the answer. Council should consider SHA's Alternative 4.

I am 100% against further reduction in traffic lanes in Alexandria.

Our CATS research showed that the volume coming in and out of CA is too great for reducing traffic lanes as proposed options presented offered residents. Given the location of the hospital this is even more grave. If the city wants to create improved bike facilities it should redesign the sidewalks so that pedestrian and bikes can co-exist in a protected lane without narrowing or eliminating lanes. Given the half life of street resurfacing these days (just look at King Street's pot holes), narrowing the lanes will cause motorists to veer into other lanes to avoid them.

I am 100 percent against the “road diet.”
