It is disappointing that they have chosen to increase the traffic issues in the area. The proposal ignores that the number of cars in the area is not being reduced nor will they provide an alternative route.

Keep the road as is! You will be producing more traffic jams by reducing the road to 2 lanes. Urban planning needs better planning!

This stretch of road carries more traffic than could be handled by reducing the vehicle lanes on Seminary Road. Also, access to INOVA hospital may become more restricted at certain times of heavy traffic which could result in endangering lives.

Reducing Seminary Rd. to basically 2 lanes (one east, one west) would lead to increased traffic congestion and decreased mobility for local residents. As a West End resident, I would pledge not to go into down-town Alexandria and to not use Seminary Rd. past Howard St. to help reduce traffic congestion.

Reducing 4 lanes to 3 is not a solution to traffic congestion.

It’s straight forward and the numbers don’t lie. No - to changes on Seminary Road; especially given more traffic is coming for McCarthur school kids being moved to Patrick Henry - adding to an already congested Jordan, and making Taney even more dangerous.

I oppose the reduction of lanes the with current volume of traffic. As mentioned, the entire school of McArthur will now be bused over to Patrick Henry, along with parents attending school events and increased drop off and pickup. Seminary Rd needs to stay at 4 lanes in each direction.

Please reject the suggestion by T&ES to reduce the lanes on Seminary Road. You did reduce on King St and it is a mess!

We already have traffic issues in our neighborhoods and I was originally opposed to this plan. But now that Patrick Henry is approved for swing school, I’m even more opposed as 700+ McArthur kids will be bussed down Seminary for 2.5 years adding to bus and car traffic to and from the school. The minuscule % of bikers far under-weighs the increased traffic that will be traveling down seminary to Patrick Henry in a year. Please consider all aspects before making this decision.

In a city already known for its traffic gridlock, it is nonsensical to even suggest reducing available lanes on one of the cities busiest streets.

Reducing lanes would increase gridlock and severely impact the ability of emergency vehicles to reach the hospital. This proposal is simply dangerous.

On top of this it's proposed to stop having a bus on Janneys Lane. Why is this neighborhood being so targeted?

I am concerned with ANY project that reduces motor vehicle lanes and increases traffic congestion. Further, my experience with bikers in Alexandria is they disregard the law creating greater risk to us all. And wait until those electric scooters start using the bike lanes!!!
I think about the transportation choices of people in my neighborhood and I can't imagine any of us trading a car for a bike for daily transportation.
