Not only is Geoffrey an excellent worker, he takes his own time to help us with any thing he is able to help us with and show us around Singapore as well as Malaysia, and he also raises the moral of the people who work in Sembawang. You will realize the people who work is Sembawang from the past and present hold a special place for him. As we see him as hard and dedicated worker, we also see a good kind hearted person to us all. To not renew his contract or offer higher position will be a huge loss to Centerra and the kind of company you wish to hold at a high standard.

My husband and I moved to Sembawang in 2012. We lived there off and on over a period of 3 years and were regular users of the bus that Geoffrey drove. We found him to very polite and courteous and very helpful to all.

The US Navy is lucky to have Jeffries as one of the first people new people meet upon there arrival to Singapore. He makes everyone feel welcomed. He is a great source of information on everything an expat needs to know while living in Singapore. The transition to living and working in Singapore will be much different, more difficult and less welcoming without him!

We don't even ride the shuttle but Geoffrey always said hello and he was a safe driver around lagos circle. The new shuttle drivers are SPEEDING through the circle. I had to yell at one yesterday to slow down as there was multiple kids walking along the side of the street.

Dear Centerra,
I hope that you would reconsider your position on letting Jeffri go. As already mentioned, he is a member of our community through his generous and compassionate actions over the years. He has personally invited my family and I to numerous events and occasions where we were able to enjoy and take in the wonderful community aspects that Singapore has to offer. He has always been a professional on the job and from what I have seen, he has always treated others with respect and kindness. Again, please reconsider your position on Jeffri’s contract and re-hire him soonest! Thank you!

He’s the unofficial Ambassador who welcomes and assists all personnel assigned to PSA Sembawang. I cannot imagine the Navy base without him. He & his family treated me like family. I highly recommend you return him to employment. He loves his job amd is the best at it!

He is the face of Sembawang. As families come and go, Geoffrey De Mateo is there to welcome all. Please do not lose sight of his contribution to the establishment.

Jeffri was the first person to make us feel welcome here in the Sembawang community. He has become such a wonderful friend to our family. We are so upset to have him go. It would mean so much to not only us, but to the majority of our community to keep him here.

Geoffrey was one of the most friendly, positive, and hard-working people in the community. Whether I was taking a stroll through the neighborhood, walking my dog, or picking up my child from the CYP Geoffrey always smiled and waved and would stop and check in to see how my family and I were doing. Heck, even my pup knew who he was and he was a scared shelter dog. I would also see him volunteer and assist in community events and contribute to us in so many ways. He was one of the very few Centerra employees that I could and still do trust.
Lastly, he was the last one I said good bye to before PCS off the island and I SAY THIS AS A MAN, I had a tear to leave such a wonderful friend, as did my girls.
He’s not only a huge asset to the community but to the entire command. Please make this right!!!!!

Geoffrey was always a pleasant person whom brittened up your day. Out of all the drivers around Sembawang he was the only one that was a good driver. The rest of the drivers drove to fast and would give you whiplash.

WOW - speechless
Jeffri is the most kind hearted man we met while in Sembawang. I couldn't think of a better person to welcome and care for our U.S. Military while so far aware from friends and family. Many of us arrive scared and know nothing; with the help of Jeffri we were welcomed with open arms and a heart full of love. Jeffri ALWAYS stopped to say hello and would ask if we needed help. I CANNOT imagine the community without him! PLEASE make this right, not only for him but for the U.S. personnel you are contracted to care for!
