At a time when you are faced with nothing but uncertainties in a new community and country with no friends or family to speak of, Geoffrey was there with a smile on his face and a helping hand to everyone. After living in Singapore all these years, he never stopped being helpful or friendly to all, whether you lived in or out of the community. I implore Centerra to reconsider this decision and find a place for Geoffrey at the installation. A price cannot be put on someone who provides customer service and a great attitude, every single day and has become part of the Sembawang family.

Dear Sir and Madam,
I write to you with my dear friend, Geoffrey, in mind. I had the pleasure of meeting Geoffrey in 2012 when he took me on my first ride to work and we have been friends since then. Geoffrey is more than a driver to everyone stationed at NRCS. I honestly believe I would’ve stayed isolated in Sembawang and never would have had an authentic experience of Singapore if it weren’t for him. Not to make negative comparisons to the other drivers, but Geoffrey is truly unique. He is an outstanding representative of Singapore and he is how everyone knows where to go, what to eat, what to say, and how to safely travel from place to place. I am so grateful for his kindness and for generously sharing knowledge and insight on the community and country. Now that his employment is suddenly threatened, I feel we all owed Geoffrey much more by writing to his employers sooner to express our gratitude and send words praising his professionalism every day as a driver, his friendliness, the great company and conversations multiple times throughout the day on the shuttle rides, and lastly, how incredibly valuable he is to our community at NRCS. I hope you, too, will now understand his value. He means a lot to us and we care about his well-being very much so please consider keeping Geoffrey employed. He is a great man that deserves his place in the community at NRCS. Thank you for your time.

He was the first person to welcome us to Singapore. He always kept things positive and brightened up all bad days. He went above and beyond daily. We had visitors from all over who still to this day ask about “the driver on base”. Let me tell you he is more than just a driver on base. He is family to the entire community and an asset any company would be lucky to have.

He is much more then a driver for us, he is family. This community could not be the place it is without Jeffrey. If you're having a bad day, he is always there to make it better. His attitude, hard work, and positive attitude are an integral part of what makes the Sembawang Community what it is. He is a perfect example of what we stand for here, and to let him go is to say that none of that matters. This is a wrong that needs to be IMMEDIATELY corrected!!!
