PETITION TO THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES REQUESTING THAT SENATOR MITT ROMNEY OF UTAH BE CENSURED:
Pursuant to the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the citizens signed in the provided petition request a redress of grievances against Senator Mitt Romney.
Mitt Romney accepted a majority vote to represent the people of Utah in congress, and since has committed the following violations against his constituency:
- January 31, 2020- vote to establish procedures concerning the articles of impeachment against Donald John Trump, President of the United States. This is a violation of conscience of the majority in the state which Mitt Romney claims to represent.
- February 5, 2020- A vote to impeach Donald John Trump, President of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors. This vote does not represent Mitt Romney’s constituency, but his own sanctimony.
- November 8, 2020- Mitt went on national television urging his constituency to “get behind President-elect Joe Biden.” Even though Joe Biden is not the certified electorate winner. In addition, Mitt Romney is supposed to represent a state that is uncontestably FOR Donald J. Trump. This serves as evidence that Mitt Romney does not represent his constituency.
Mitt Romney is a traitor to his constituency and we hereby call for his censure.

Mitt represents Utah well. It's Senator Mike Lee that ought to be censured for meeting and coordinating with the defense while he was supposed to be acting as jury. Trump is guilty -- Mitt ought to be commended for voting his conscience and for considering the very strong case brought by House Managers. Even several who voted to acquit admitted that they believed Trump was guilty (including Graham and McConnell). They aren't arguing whether he's guilty -- they are arguing process. This is a vote to censure Senator Mike Lee. Mitt Romney already represents Utah well. His job isn't to cater to the few GOP leaders - it's to represent the state. Even GOP Governor Cox critiqued Trump actions.
Uphold our constitution or get out of the way. You are accountable to God for your crimes
Do your job Mitt and represent Utah residents not your own interests!

I registered Republican just to vote against him in the primary. Now I want to see the party advance.
