Response to CEG2131/2531 Midterm Scheduling Mistake

We, the students of CEG2131 and CEG2531 at the University of Ottawa, wish to express our anger over the events of Saturday, October 19 2002 as the administration double booked our midterm examination rooms. We would like the administration to understand that we as students have very busy schedules. Many of us work, many of us have multiple exams during this short period in October and many of us can ill afford to waste time (and money) by arriving at an exam that has been double booked. We would also like to express outrage on behalf of both Professor Al-Dhaher Professor Rahmani, who spent much time organizing a suitable day for both classes to write the test, made sure all T.A\'s were present at the correct time and place, and making sure the classes knew the right time and place to be, only to have their efforts wasted by poor scheduling. We respectfully request an explanation for the mishap, as well as a letter of apology in response to the incident, expressing regret and understanding of the inconvenience placed upon the students of these classes, their teaching assistants, and professors.
