The Sons and Daughters of Cedar Valley have donations of thousands of dollars for a sprinkler system but the town will not approve putting one in. Lets work together and make our cemetery beautiful. Not destroy it. We can't change where the people are buried or if they are in a straight line. Leave the roads as is. Our cemetery is a special place where we come to feel peace and remember our loved ones. Many graves have been dedicated for the safe keeping of the graves, that they won't be destroyed. Let's respect the people of this town and our families final resting place.

What are you doing Town Council? Got nothing better to do than disturb the graves? Use your website, social media, newspapers and reach out to the larger community. Not all of us who have connections to the cemetery and town live in town to know what's happening.

This makes me so sad! My Dad is burried in this cemetery, right next to the road. How can someone do this without contacting the families? This is my peaceful place to visit not only my Father, but many relatives.

My grandpa planted flowers for my grandma in 1986 in front of her headstone. As far as I can remember those flowers have been there, as of a few days ago they're gone. So disrespectful.

I love Cedar Fort. I was Bishop there in the 1970s. When it came time to leave I bought a spot for my wife and I. I want to be buried near so many old friends. Meredith is there waiting for me. Recently my grandson was tragically killed in an accident. He is buried in the cemetery. I love the rural, native, unpretentious nature of the spot. I stand there and look across the whole valley. And sweet memories flood through my mind. I could have chosen a fancier greener manicured plot in town but it would not be Cedar Fort. I have waded through mud and snow when I was Bishop and conducting the funeral for so many who are there. It would be my preference that we not change the beauty of the site by slicking it up. One lane is enough. Just my two cent worth. I love you all. Bishop Genho
