Don't faile to raise the ceiling for those already well above the floor.Public education’s neglect of high-ability students doesn’t just deny individuals opportunities they deserve. It also imperils the country’s future supply of scientists, inventors and entrepreneurs.

If our zoned school's had the classes we need for our advanced skills, don't you think we would be at our zoned schools? Also, what's the point of a magnet school if they don't provide the bussing for the magnet kids? Aren't the magnet students what make up the magnet part of schools??

Us magnet students come from all over the valley and we don't go to our zoned schools for a reason. Those schools do not attain the amount of rigour we are in need of and therefore, we do not attend them. So, why should the cost of transportation affect our futures?

I agree. I don't think we should change magnet program. If there are bright people out there, why not take them to next level?

To those who are planning on changing the magnet school system, you guys are idiots. After more than a year at a magnet middle school, I know that I had a kickstart in my career. Magnet schools allow students from all over to enjoy a great learning environment. These so-called "advanced" classes are a bit easy, and easy doesn't cut it. Las Vegas is known for having simply horrible education, and this will make it worse. I don't care if it costs money to operate busses. Education is more important than transportation!

Is this a tactic to make Nevada students even more stupid? We already have a really bad education system and not to mention, Infinite Campus. These 'changes' are so messed up and just unfair. People these days are so greedy for money and just so stupid that they end up coming with ideas that are just nonsense. Why not IMPROVE this level of education by IMPROVING magnet schools?! This is just RIDICULOUS. Anyways, anyone who sees this better freaking sign this damn petition. Thank you for your cooperation. ^^

I may not be in Las Vegas or the CCSD, but I know a dire situation when I see one. I was screwed over by an indepenent school district, and I don't want the same to happen to Las Vegas, with only one school district.

Ever since I was a child, everybody has been telling me to perform at my best potentional. I lived by that rule, but now, unfortunately this will become a trouble for me. Some schoolschools don't have what kids are looking for so it's not fair to put them there. If people are thriving for la or clark, ththey might not be able to go just because they don't live close enough? That's pathetic. Now schools will be filled with students not of the brightest but of the closest. Think about it, and think smart.
