Petition summary and background The Children’s Choice Learning Center has been serving families since June 2007. Our mission is to give children and families the tools they need to succeed. We serve children ages 0 to 13 years old keeping families together. We also offer care until 11:00 pm giving families more flexibility to work. Many of our students are low income whose families depend on subsidies to assist them with their childcare needs. However, due to budget cuts many of our students are told at the age of 3 they must leave our center to go to Abbott center regardless of the parents’ wishes or the best interest of the child. We believe we can meet the physical facility requirements as well as the pre-school standards to be approved and would like the community support our efforts. Action petitioned for We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to Support The Children’s Choice Learning Centers application to become an Abbott provider.
