The offer is an insult to professionals who work so hard in a thankless job for the good of young people in the society.

Its a shame that the vision and culture that Roy wanted to create has not materialised. Our workloads are breaking us! I am broken.

The governors seem so detached from what is going on. We have been mismanaged for too long. Time to give us leaders we can respect.

I work extremely hard in order to do my best for the students that I teach, be they ESOL, GCSE English or Functional Skills English. I am absolutely livid at the lack of respect shown to professionals who show themselves time and again to be self-motivated by the desire to help others improve their lives and life chances. We need a fair pay rise, a reduction in admin workload and professional autonomy to do what we do best - teach our students.

As an employee within Business Support staff, I felt the need to join UCU in an organisation once small, friendly and supportive, now large, impersonal and imposing, to have a voice. Myself and colleagues work in this sector to empower our communities, we love what we do, but one cannot live on love alone!

Solidarity with UCU. Their fight is also our fight. We need management to be working with us in an atmosphere of trust so that we can provide our students with the education they deserve. A lesson observation policy that is essentially a bullies charter will not improve this trust which is sadly lacking. FE college staff deserve a decent pay rise after 3 years without one. We are all sinking under our workloads - this needs to be seriously considered by management and tasks which do not require our professional expertise should not be done by us.

It is shameful to sacrifice good teaching or lesson preparation in order to carry out all the paperwork / admin work we are buried under, we need admin staff to carry out the admin jobs!
The fact that my subject knowledge and my teaching skills are less important than my admin skills is extremely demoralising, as I have become a receptionist, counsellor, paper filer, paper pusher and organiser. I am an overqualified admin staff!

We are working in an working in an organisation that does not value its teachers or their professionalism. I have been a teacher for over 20 years and I have never felt under so much pressure. I am fed up with the lack of respect and the lack of a decent pay rise.

I feel extremely undervalued and vulnerable working at CIC. I have been a teacher here for 20+ years and never felt so negative about my role.
