We are trying to make Crescent College the first single use plastic free school in Munster

Single-use plastics are plastics that are only used once and then they are thrown away. Plastic waste polluting our oceans and waterways is one of the biggest problems facing our generation. By 2050, there will be more plastic ins. our oceans than fish. To combat this, we want Crescent College Comprehensive to take positive action, to create social and cultural change, to embed a non-use of single-use plastic into each student's moral code and to change our behaviour to better our environment.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this effort since I started it. This progress belongs entirely to you because I never thought we would reach this level of momentum. It is truly humbling to see so many others who care as much as I do about our school environment.

Too much plastic wastage is ruining our seas and killing our wildlife it has to stop.
Great to see this happening. Should be done in all schools both primary and secondary.
As a family ,we have always been mindful of protecting our environment and have reduced, reused and recycled for years now. Why anyone cannot use the same cup for tea/coffee really puzzles me. An extra charge should be put on every cup and that should help people take note
