Me as a student who attends la plata high school understands the no phone policy to a certain degree, although I do not agree with students being told to hand their phones over in certain classes. I believe that students should be able to have their device on them at all times. You never know what can happen throughout the day, and one of the safest things we could do is use our phones in case of emergency!

With the decreased time between classes, and the heavily over populated school there is no time to stop at a locker. For those taking AP classes or people like me who need longer to go up the stairs, the restrictions on bags is honestly de-humanizing. I appreciate those who took the time to make this petition, thank you.

I think these new policies and regulations are extremely inconsiderate of student’s circumstances. I think it’s so important to listen to the opinions of students and parent before creating rules such as these. It’s an invasion in my personal opinion.

it’s unfair and we need our phones incase of something serious and family emergencies and bookbags to keep our things in we can’t carry everything in our hand and then expect us to go to our locker in between switching classes with short time before ur late.
