As you may know, the Department of Human Services and the Division for Development Disabilities presented a letter to the Joint Budget Committee designating Developmental Pathways of Denver to take over Community Center Board services as of May 9, 2009. Parents, Self-advocates and Stakeholders in the Pikes Peak Region have multiple concerns with this arrangement. Our main concerns are: *Local stakeholders had absolutely no input in this decision. * The decision appears to have been made without a formal bidding process or Request for Proposal (RFP). * Developmental Pathways is a CCB in the Denver area - local control/input has the potential to be lost in the behind-closed-door insiders deal. *The thousands of people who receive services from TRE need and deserve to be a part of the decision making process. *Local CCB options (such as NTSOC)were not considered. This is a free petition. Please do not donate any money to this cause. Thank you.
