Not every student from Nigeria studying abroad has a rich parent, and some parents work multiple jobs just to provide a good quality education for their children, despite the harsh economic crisis in Nigeria at the moment. So it is unfair for our parents to go through hell and extremely high dollar exchange rate just to send us money for our tuition and upkeep, sometimes the dollars is not made available to them. So i plead with the government of Nigeria and the CBN governor to rectify this injustice. We are ready to show documents to prove our legitimacy as students studying abroad, and this documents can be implemented as a requirement in banks so dollars will be released to our parents at the international rate $1 to #199 thanks for your consideration.

This is a pressing matter that has the potential of further defaming Nigeria by pushing her citizens in diaspora to acts of desperation as they have no means to tend for themselves since CBN's has failed to tightly regulate the currency. This has to be fixed immediately as students can no longer pay their fees and they will be expelled from their universities while they already are starving as they have no funds to survive. For the sake of the Nigerian citizens this has to be rectified.

It is particularly important that something be done about policies like this. I understand the challenges the students are passing through at this moment. Parents/Guardians cannot be deprived of all rights to send their hard earned personal little money to their children abroad Or the students collecting the money from black market on a much more higher rate. While Politicians in Nigeria launder money in suitcases out of Nigeria. I sign this petition. Something must be done and it must be done fast to help these students abroad. #CBNENDTHISMADNESSNOW

Everyday, I'm reminded that I'm in a country that would otherwise have been no better than mine. But thanks to a lot of buts, here I am often having to put up with the cons that come with being a foreigner. But why won't I put up with them, when I am treated no better by my own? It is the responsibility of the government to cater for its citizens at home and abroad. Sadly, the ones who should protect us seem bent on ruining us. Please end this madness and allow us access to the stipends that enable our survival.

We need CBN to be reasonable and stable with their FOREX Policy. Artificial scarcity of Dollar will only increase demand and hence inflation.
