CBL 30 and CBL Legends Members,

Every season we come together for the opportunity to play organized basketball amongst brothers and friends. Not only do we get to share in a Prophetic tradition of group activity but also competitive play amongst friends. The fees that we pay every season cover the misc. costs for the league such as the rental of the gym and the referee fees.

However, when a referee (Mike) does not perform his job correctly and fairly; it takes away from the enjoyment of the game and turns it into a reflection of his negative demeanor.

The biggest complaints many of us fellow CBL 30 members have encountered while having a game officiated by Mike including:

1. His poor attitude towards the players on the court.

2. Poor time management of the clock-- He will hold onto the game ball and let the clock run and not let the players get back to the game.

3. HIs poor communication of the calls that he is making. He does not speak up his call for at least 10 seconds which eats into the clock and hurts all of us playing the game.

These are just a list of a few issues that all of us have faced with Mike as a referee in your game. I ask that everyone please sign that petition to have Farooq and the CBL organizer recognize the problem and rectify the issue immediately. We want Mike to be replaced by another referee who will not take away from the fun of the game, which is what we all come out every week to enjoy.
