I would like our old dresscode back. Clothes is really our way of showing our creativity.

hi not everybody is rich enough to get nice clothes. i get practically all of my clothes from goodwill and i get hand me downs, and i know a lot of other people do the same, or have it even worse. so unless you're paying for our nicer clothes that fit your new dress code, please give us back our old dress code. also, please also consider changing our schedule back to AB because i need to have my all-year classes all year, if i don't have choir all year i'll get severely depressed, i'm not even exaggerating + if i don't have math and english all year i'll feel stupid for the other half of the year. thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

Your gonna make us sit through 7 hours of school with a 25 minute lunch and not even let us wear what we want? Seems unfair

People should be able to think for themselves, making them all look the same and go to a place oddly designed like a prison just simply kills their creativity and individuality

At a time when parents are already paying astronomical costs for public school (fees, supplies, music, art) its insane to expect a new wardrobe to be purchased one month before school begins. That is hundreds of dollars for those of us with multiple children. As for specifics; not all pupils have the same body type and asking them all to wear a tucked shirt with belt will lead to body shaming and bullying. No boots? What about rain boots or warm boots on snowy/icy days? No sweaters? Come on! Where is the common sense?

For the six years I have attended East Hamilton all students have been allowed to express themselves through the very lenient dress code we were given. I believe enforcing a stricter dress code will take away a students individuality. Being able to express yourself through clothing allows students to gain a sense of who they are and also boost their self esteem. I believe this is important for all middle and high schoolers who are facing the difficulties of becoming a young adult in such a diverse environment.

It’s ridiculous that we will be sent to ISS for wearing a hoodie, jacket that zips, or anything remotely comfortable. There are families that can not afford to buy a whole new wardrobe for their kid(s) just so they can attend school. The previous dress code was convenient for all parties as long as nothing to scandalous was shown. Students should be allowed to express themselves through their clothing. When you get to college there is absolutely no dress code because no one cares what you wear in the real world.

Completely agree, having to spend additional funds on imposed uniforms will put a hardship on some families being able to afford the school fees and purchase supplies requested by the teachers.

I hope you find that items such as a full zip jacket or a hoodie aren’t such a terrible thing to wear at a school. I understand their idea and side to the story. But it’s true what I wear shows who I am and seperates me from the terrible people in East Hamilton High. I don’t want to look identical to everyone else, it makes us look like drones
