CAUS Petition
As students, we are inherently invested in the decisions made by the University. These affect not only our daily lives but also the value of our education. Despite this fact, the vast majority students have no say at all in those decisions. The lack of student voices in University decision-making has led to a series of abuses upon the student body, the most recent of which is a 30% tuition hike. Due to the rising cost of tuition, students are concerned about their ability to afford their education.
Consequently, the Coalition of American University Students seeks to democratize University Decision-making, and as such we demand a freeze on tuition for the next two years. Furthermore we demand students are given collective bargaining power in the University’s financial decision-making.
We expect a response to our demands by October 25, 2012.
