I think this is a noteworthy cause and a fantastic additional of history, sportsmanship, health, fitness and bravery to Manhattan Beach. I would love to see a statue go up sooner rather than later!

This statue represents the Catalina Classic Race in a perfect way. A huge part of the South Bay and Manhattan Beach in particular, this statute would be a great addition of art to the city and an ode to a great race.

I qualified & finished this lifetime race back in 2007. A real mind slapper and one of the most satisfying accomplishments in my life. Would certainly be worthy of this piece of art to honor those of us as well as encourage the next generations to get amongst the big blue, strive for greatness & enjoy this ride called life to the fullest.
