Cat Curfew
Hi All
My name is Adrian. I am a 14 year old boy living on the street of Glen Road in Bridgewater. I am part of the Youth Environment Council, writing on behalf of the Environment.
The youth environment council (YEC) is a group of kids from all across SA that meet together 3 times a year to discuss what we can do to help the environment. As part of the YEC for 2017 I care about the local environment. On Friday the 30th of June my brother spotted a bird that had been attacked by a cat the day before we found it. We know this because of the evidence of the bird’s lack of feathers, it was scared and it was weak. I personally have noticed an increase of cats in the neighborhood. I also have seen them stalking and hunting the birds in my feeder. I personally think cats are cool. However,
This can be avoided by introducing a cat curfew to the Adelaide and Mt Lofty Region. This cat curfew would reduce hunting time, reproduction, and roaming of cats.
It would be very kind if you could help by signing this petition.
This curfew will protect both cats and the environment.
Thanks for your time,
Adrian Farnam
