Calling all fans of Heavy Rain! It's official that the film version of the game is already in-development. It's currently slated for a 2014 release and David Milch will be writing the movie adaptation. If you're here, it's likely that you've already played the game and know that its primary focus is its plot and CHARACTER-DRIVEN storytelling (you play as the 4 main characters after all).

Since they are translating the game to a film, that means that the studio will be looking for actors to portray the characters we know and love in the game: Ethan, Madison, Norman and Scott. It is most likely that they will cast "big name" actors for the main characters.

As a huge fan of the game and someone who's played all the alternate scenes, I've started this petition to encourage the film studio/s to cast Sam Douglas, the voice actor and character model of Scott Shelby, to portray him also in the film. We all know the SIGNIFICANT and PIVOTAL role that Scott plays in the game (no spoilers here :))!

Sam Douglas did such a wonderful job as Scott Shelby that he is the only actor who can effectively bring him to life on the big screen. Also, casting a "big name actor" in the role would detract from the character itself and his story line, and would make him "stick out too much".

Once the petition has ended, I will send the petition to the great folks at Quantic Dream and to the movie studio to encourage them to make the right choice. Thank you for your time, fellow Heavy Rain fan!
