We, the undersigned, call on the producers of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and the BBC to cast Brenda LaBeau on the next season of the show.
Brenda LaBeau is a standout Liverpool queen at a time when Scouse drag has been missing from the Drag Race UK werkroom in recent seasons. Liverpool has one of the most vibrant, diverse and influential drag scenes in the country, yet it has not been represented on the show for far too long. Brenda embodies the city’s creativity, sharp humour, resilience and heart, which are qualities that define the very best of British drag.
Liverpool’s drag community has already given the show some of its most memorable performers, including The Vivienne, Danny Beard and Sister Sister. Their success and visibility demonstrate the exceptional standard of Scouse artistry. This history should be a reason to keep platforming Liverpool talent, not a justification for overlooking it. Brenda is a drag queen who absolutely should be on RuPaul’s Drag Race she’s the kind of queen who lights up a room the second she appears. She’s hilarious like the kind of funny that feels natural, quick and completely effortless. Every joke lands, every look is fabulous and every moment with her is pure comedy gold. She sings with so much heart not just hitting notes but filling every song with emotion and sparkle. And behind all the glamour and humor, Brenda has a heart of gold warm, kind, and genuinely uplifting to everyone around her. Brenda isn’t just talented she’s unforgettable. She belongs on that runway, in that spotlight and on that stage where she can show the world exactly why she’s one of the greats.
