Even after only a few episodes, Gustin has proved himself to be a perfect fit for the character of Barry Allen. A lot have fans have devoted themselves to The CW's DC Universe, beginning with "Arrow" and carrying on into "The Flash". To have cast a different actor in the Cinematic Universe feels like a waste of the investment made in Gustin's Barry Allen.

*The same can also be said for Stephen Amell's interepretation of the Green Arrow in The CW's "Arrow" although, as I understand it, there has been nobody cast as the character in the DC Cinematic Universe as of yet*
