I also encourage the developer to be mindful of residents of Cary Park and Amberly. I would be in favor of child care and / or medical facilities, and would oppose any gas station or restaurant.
I would also note that it appears the developer is trying to shove as many buildings into a small lot as possible. I realize they are out to make a profit, but they must also be cognizant of what they will be leaving behind and how it will impact the community. This development should make sure it falls into line with others in Cary - functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Has anyone seen the traffic at fire station traffic light heading in and out of Mills Park school? We're creating a bottle neck between carpenter fire station traffic light and Mills Park. I see an invitation to a lot more pick-up/drop off congestion and a negative impact to real estate values to homes on back side of proposed site. Hope to see a thorough impact assessment and value proposition for the community at large.

High density should be kept to locations with developed roads and alternate methods of transportation. Why is it OK to add density without infrastucture!

In addition to the mitigation measures I would like to recommend that all energy efficient lighting (LEDs, etc.) required under Town of Cary code be installed in such as way as to not create a bright light nuisance to nearby homes and traffic. For example, the McDonald's at the corner of GL Church and Cary Glen Blvd. was required to use LED lighting on the outside of the building. The lighting was so bright that it was a nuisance to homes across the street. The LEDs also created a hazard to pedestrians crossing GL Church Rd. at night because they were so bright as to make it difficult for drivers turning left from Cary Glen onto GL Church road to see people in the crosswalk. Design must take into consideration how bright energy efficient lights can be and appropriate shielding must be incorporated into site design.

I think there is plenty of daycare already available in this area. The density proposed (5 structures) seems too high and parking will be squeezed around the perimeter further adding to noise and pollution in this small area. This will add to what I see as overdevelopment and deterioration of quality of life and property values in this area. Why make this a congested city-like community when it was originally developed as an attractive outside RTP semi-rural area with calm, relaxing neighborhoods. This just invites more congestion, stress, pollution and puts a strain on desirability to live in this area.

We chose to live here due to the quiet and private nature. Our property is up against this proposed area and would significantly impact our property value. Please modify this plan to a smaller, less traffic congested plan. We don't need any more dayscares!

You need to keep the development of this property to a small construction. How many day care centers does this area need. you have one down the road and another on morrisville heading to PCHS> this way too big of building to allow this and destroy the privacy of the homes.

Do we really need another daycare or big box store? Everything we loved about this area is being destroyed. These requests are very reasonable and please keep in mind what the residents love about this area.

Have been here over 10 years, and seen everything come in. Very poor erosion control on most projects- Cary Park Lake badly silted up with their runoff, which the developers don't care about. Tree buffers lost. Please give serious consideration to the mitigation conditions requested- they are reasonable & appropriate.
