We demand that the Culver City Council
nullify their Monday June 23 vote to designate Carlson Park as the location for the Los Angeles County Smart Garden Composting Center.
Background: On Monday June 23, 2008, the Culver City City Council selected Carlson Park as the place to build a permanent Los Angeles County Smart Gardening Learning Center.
Residents of the Carlson Park neighborhood, the very people who will be affected by this permanent composting center, were not notified that this was even under consideration.
There were 4 Culver City parks under consideration for this LA County project: Veteran

This is ridiculous!! We go to this park all the time with our kids and the smell will be terrible. Nobody asked us about this at all. Put it somewhere else away from the houses.
