In the state of Alaska a precedent is being set that we need to change. The precedent is that if your car is hit by another car, you exit your car to obtain insurance information and the other driver gets out of their car and proceeds to assault you, causing injuries or death, the car insurance company does not feel they should be responsible for the assault. The problem in court is they want to divide the incident into two different incidents a car accident and an assault. This is a problem because had the car accident not occurred then the assault would never have taken place thus making the assault relative to the car accident. Please join this petition to help combine the incidents and require the defendants insurance company to pay for hospital costs and other related damages before any one else is killed or hurt.
