I'm all in. We all deserve the right to a warm home. We have so much in our country, and yet these problems are still here. We need to offer our elders a life to look forward to, not regret.

As someone who works in the healthcare field and as a resident of Steinbach almost my entire life. It is very clear this would be a useful facility for us.

Old people and veterans need to be well taken care of. Most have worked hard their whole life and don't deserve to be left alone helpless in a ditch somewhere.

It's a real shame when those who have built our community have to spend the final months or more of their life in a remote town. It is often difficult or impossible for family and friends to spend valuable time with someone who really needs that support at that time of their life.

We need to keep our seniors in Steinbach. It’s sad to see the pillars and other residents of our community having to move to senior homes in other communities when they age, when these were the people that built our community. It's hard on both the seniors and their families.

We need more nursing homes in Steinbach area!!! I have both my parents in assisted living and I think it would be detrimental for either parent to be removed to a different area of Manitoba because we have no nursing homes here.

Our mom spent 6 months in rehab in Steinbach and then 6 months in St Adolph at the nursing home while waiting for placement in Steinbach. It was extremely hard on her. Elderly folks should not be sent away when they need their friends and family support the most.

My Aunt was placed in Vita while waiting for placement in Steinbach.
It was a stressful time for her to be away from her home town.

Our Mom was placed in Vita Home for a while before a room was available in Steinbach. After contributing to this community most of her life...should not have to happen.

Steinbach definitely needs more facilities to keep long time community members close to friends and family.
