Stop pushing benefits for the few over the wishes of the largest portion of your constituents. We don't want this and don't benefit from it.

The Daytona Beach airport has a long runway, ground and air personnel to support jets, and is so nearby. Why are we even considering this?

Already fly into daytona. This will inpact to many people, for just a few that want this.

Airport expansion is for a few elites that are only interested in convenience for them flying their aircrafts, ignoring all the residents that will be affected by this runway expansion. This expansion affects MANY neighboring areas and brings forth MANY potential problems from health issues to potential crashes near our homes!!! Too many items to list and officials have heard numerous times before via concerned residents, newspaper, etc.
Wasn’t it “We The People” that voted to elect officials to represent us?!?! It’d be nice if our officials that will be voting on our behalf ask the affected residents/communities (via survey) what THEY think about the airport expansion?
Who will the officials decide to represent...the several economically elite or the thousands of airport neighboring residents that have expressed their concerns. I pray every day for our families, home, health and our wonderful community we live in along with the right decision to be made.......

There are other airports within a few miles that can handle the larger aircraft. An extension would cause additional pollution, noise and safety concerns for many local subdivisions. Yes there was an airport here when we decided to purchase, but a small local airport. The increased size the City wishes will bring increased risks to thousands living in the area.
