Cardiff Pointe Council Tax

A significant number of residences within our community have been embroiled in a long battle with the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) over the unjustifiable banding of our properties.
In October 2019, the Valuation Tribunal of Wales (VTW) ruled that two residences within Cardiff Pointe were to have their council band reduced from band I to band H after it transpired that, during the original hearing in June 2018, the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) had presented false measurements of these properties to the VTW, claiming that they were 30m2 greater than they actually are.
Despite these two separate rulings, the VOA refuse to reduce the banding of identical properties within Cardiff Pointe having, on multiple occasions, described the tribunals' decision as either "erroneous" or a "bad decision". The VOA are also yet to present any evidence or reasoning to justify their claim that these decisions were "erroneous". As a result so our community is faced an unjust inequality whereby properties are being taxed at over £500 more p.a. than their identical neighbouring properties.
Many Cardiff Pointe residents who have engaged with the VOA have been thoroughly dissatisfied with VOA's conduct and have subsequently filed numerous complaints against them.
The VOA now intend to try their luck for a 3rd time at a tribunal in late-2021 whilst, once again, attempting to supply false measurements of the appeal property. We would like the opportunity to present a set of 'witness statements' at the next VTW hearing so that the tribunal members can understand the gravity of the situation.
Therefore, if you do wish to take part, please sign this petition with your:

- Address.
- A written summary of your experience dealing with the VOA.
