The current Minority Federal Government has no mandate to introduce a Carbon Price. This is a petition stating your support for a poll of the people before implementation. While this petition has no legal ramifications, with enough "signatures", it will show our leaders our belief in our right to be heard, and to make informed decisions about our own futures.

As the sponsor of this petition I would like to make it clear, that I support action on Climate Change. If this were to involve a price on carbon, then our leaders should make that policy clear before any election, detailing how it would be implemented and how it would reduce emissions, and give the people the opportunity to decide.
