Ilkley must have more free off-street parking before inappropriate parking causes gridlock in the town!

I should like to endorse the comment about parking in Ben Rhydding. It is impossible to move for parking both sides of Wheatley lane. Moorfield Rd has a care home and ambulances have difficulty in getting quickly to Kirkwood It is one big nightmare. The grass verges in Wheatley avenue are just churned up mud baths. Something has to be done

Biggest problem is commuters' all-day parking and under-utilised contract parking area

Car parking by visitors and commuters is increasingly problrmatic in the residential streets around Ilkley centre. In particular, as Ian Smith has commented the parking on Grove Road just before it meets Kings Road is both very annoying and dangerous

As mentioned previuosly, I am extremely concerned about street parking in Ilkley and what I believe to be an accident waiting to happen at the bottom of Grove Rd. Hopefully, BMDC will now carry out a full review.

Parking in Ilkley is out of control and is dangerous especially on Grove Road. Parking for commuters, visitors, shoppers and people working in Ilkley needs to be properly organised.

Dozens of people park their cars on St James Road every day and then catch the train into Leeds or Bradford. The whole road is jammed with commuter's cars all day.

No new restrictions should be introduced in and adjacent to central Ilkley aimed at rail commuters without considering the effect this will have on the streets surrounding Ben Rhydding station, an area to which the commuters will simply migrate. Pavement grass verges in Wheatley Avenue are being totally destroyed by trucks trying to find a way round the parked cars, and this problem is getting dramatically worse year on year. Significant obstacles need to be placed on the grass verges to protect them from vehicles e.g. like the large white-painted stones which residents have positioned for this purpose in Cheltenham Ave, which is a private road. Also we need some safe cycling routes in Ilkley to encourage people away from the American idea that you can't go round the corner without a car. Following the Tour de France, Ilkley has reverted to being as cycle-unfriendly as ever. Also I would suggest a 20mph speed limit for most of Ilkley except A65.

I live on St James Rd and our drive is regularly blocked by parked cars. often in summer I'm unable to cut my hedge because cars are parked on the pavement, thus preventing me cutting it.

This matter is now urgent. It's becoming impossible to park in our own town.

Ilkley - parking - needs reviewing. Street parking should be residents permit parking only

Buy and use part of old Spooners site for car park. Local residents should be able to buy an annual parking permit.

Parking and traffic flow is too much

Dangerous and obstructive parking is rife in Ilkley. It causes accidents for both car drivers and pedestrians. Traffic and parking laws regarding dangerous and obstructive parking need to be enforced.

the car parking on the streets of ilkley at the moment is ludicrous. If people are wanting to visit our town that's perfectly fine however they should pay for the car parks as we would if we went to a different town rather than park in front of our houses leading to us as residents having nowhere to park cars!

It puts me off shopping in Ilkley because of the parking situation.
