The park was a great place for my kids to play and I hope it remains so for the current generation of youngsters.

Only a few short years ago it was included in Tim Bits Soccer program. Why was that stopped? Secondly, why are there conflicting statements over ownership? One minute the land owner is paying taxes, the next CBRM says it has the deed!!!??? I'd like to see a current copy posted on the CV site (this is public record).

the government is a representative of the people, what the tax payers need and want should precedent their own plans. Also the ground is contaminated by an airplane being buried there, and the public has had the use of the land for 40 years called, squatters rights. And the need for green space and a safe place for children to play!!

This is a whole separate, yet equally important, matter that we would like to see taken on, on its own. There are a LOT of taxes paid in this little community......

Very sorry about this huge setback. Sending prayers that negotiations with land owners are successful in a timely manner.

I hope the property owner shows compassion and kindness to release property for the continued enjoyment of so many families.

I understand the frustration and concern however has anyone ever reached out to the owner before taking such claim on the park. This person has paid for the land, paid taxes on the land and now it appears you are making them look to be in the wrong for not giving what is rightfully theirs to decide. We live in a low employment area where everyone needs a break and if they need their land it is still theirs, has anyone approached owner to purchase the land for the playground? I do not want to sound like the devils advocate and I am all for kids having a place to play so why are you not going after the CBRM to buy out the landowner? Good Luck with your endeavours!

Please support the park and get the upgrades in place soon. The park is a needed facility in Cantley Village. All of my family has used the park at various times over the years.

Former resident. What a shame if this is not realized. A great central park for the neighbourhood.

Hoping everything will work out for all of those that dedicated so much time and effort to this cause, and especially for the kids!

This park is so important to the community! Green spaces like this bring communities closer together. It provides a place for our children to play safely...an " all access" playground provides a place for all children to thrive!! I am confident that this matter will be resolved and the much needed upgrades to the park will happen for the kids. Good luck!!
