The Minnesota Twins should play "Can't Hardly Wait" by the Minneapolis band the Replacements during the 8th inning stretch as a crowd participation song. Like "Sweet Caroline" at Fenway Park, the song would become a signature feature of attending a Minnesota Twins game at Target Field. This petition will be forwarded to Twins president Dave St. Peter.
I was at the ballpark the other night and the silence during the eighth inning hit different because it is just missing that Replacements energy. Someone sent me a message suggesting we start a chant in the aisles if management keeps ignoring these emails but honestly I think we just need to keep turning up the pressure until they actually listen to the legacy of the city.

Best MN “wait” song. (and the songwriter, MN-born Paul Westerberg, is a Twins fan)

Not only is it by our beloved hometown Replacements, it's a toe-tapper! Make it so.

There’s no better local song to sing along to during the stretch! It would sound totally sick on the organ.

This would increase the Twins’ “cool” factor exponentially. At least among aging hipsters.

Do it! It’s a great song and a cool way to honor one of the greatest American artists of all time

This is a good idea. The song has some of the same singalong qualities as Sweet Caroline.

Hometown music for the hometown team. It's a natural.
