We know "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" teaches true doctrine. However, some Latter-day Saints use the fact that the Family Proclamation is not canonized as an excuse to ignore, distort, or reject this doctrine. We do not know whether it is the Lord's will that it be canonized or not, but we do know the Lord has said his saints "should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness." Therefore, we, the undersigned, respectfully ask the First Presidency to please consider submitting "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" to the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a vote on canonization.
