This is ridiculous and traumatic to families. If the concern is over worker conditions, than why do they not stop buriels on a weekend.

It is a shame on this Government to even consider passing a law that prohibits cremations over the weekends. Death has NO TIME Line's !!!!! Do you not have more important issues like corruption in Government to watch than to be concerned about when the dead should be cremated ?

I do not support this notice as it is an infringement on the Human Rights of Society & the Community at large to cancel cremations over weekends & Public Holidays.

I think the government should show us some kind of respect with regards to this matter as we do our cremation religiously and most of the times the cremation is performed on a weekend.

It is a shame on this Government to even consider passing a law that prohibits cremations over the weekends. In Durban you have cremations performed on Saturday and Sundays. Do you not have more important issues like corruption in Government to watch than to be concerned about when the dead should be cremated ?

Certain religious practices determine when to cremate a body. Please can we respect those religious practices and amend certain City by-laws to cater for it.

We need to be respected. Death is not timed, God has his own time.
