What is the practicality of this decision? For Of tradition , Usage, convenience etc how can a decision like this be made. Can we in the same light impose those rules on burials and hence close churches ?

The duty to cremate your loved ones is a basic right. The time to perform this duty and exercise this right should in no way be restricted or prescribed by the government or anyone else.

Stop discrimination. This is absurd action when country is short if burial space. Govt must encourage cremation as better environmental option‼️

Petition against the cancelling of cremations on weekends and public holidays including stipulating scheduled times. We should be allowed to cremate our dead any day and any time like all South Africans are allowed to. To not allow this is discrimination against our religion and beliefs.

Are they only stopping cremations or also the 100 or so burials that take place on weekend aswell? If the government cannot continue with creations the service should be privatised.

Petition against cancelling and not allowing cremations on weekends and public holidays including the stipulation of scheduled times. It is discrimination to not allow us to cremate our dead according to our religion.

This is inconvenient to family members of the deceased, people will have to take leave from their respective work places to attend a funeral not good for the employer's n employees on weekdays

Should we only die at those times that we are allowed to be cremated. This is very unfair.
