The MTV reality TV show "Jersey Shore" promotes racism and stereotyping of Italian Americans, and MTV needs to be persuaded to cancel a second season of this show. This show is specifically geared towards young people, who are impressionable and do not have a clear understanding of racial bias. This show suggests to people that probably have not known many Italian Americans that the terms "guido" and "guidette" are socially acceptable. This is completely false. To many Italian Americans, these words are just as offensive as n----r is to a black person. Having the actors on this show say that these terms are not offensive sends out a false message, and people believe it because they think that the actors are Italian, which some of them are not. "Jwoww" is Spanish/Irish, "Ronnie" is half Puerto Rican, and "Snooki" is Chilean. Besides, does anyone honestly think that "Snooki" is a good representation of the average Italian American? She's not even a good representation of the average human being. This show is racist and offensive, and MTV must be convinced to take it off the air.
