Everyone can agree that children copy what they see on television, no more so than what they view on pro wrestling. But what makes this violence different than all the rest The WWE and all similiar cooperations make it flashy and empowering to beat each other up. Other shows may have violence but it is impossible for a suburban child to go and say buy a handgun or a switch blade to copy this type of violence, but hitting someone with a chair or \"body-slamming\" another child like they do on these pro-wrestling shows well that\'s easy to copy. These children not only hurt other people but they can seriously hurt themselves, because they are not trained like the \"stars\" of these pro-wrestling shows. Being the sister of a brother who is obsessed with these fake wrestling shows I have a first hand account on how destructive they can be to a child\'s behavior. Ever since my brother has started watching shows like the WWE he has started practicing these wresling moves...mostly on me and my poor dog. He has twisted me to the point where I thought my bones were going to snap and put in \"choke holds\" for so long that I started to almost vomit.And as he was twisting me around he would proudly name each pro-wrestling move he was performing on me. He has gone through other phases like violent video games and never has he been so physically violent than when he started watching pro-wrestling. The purpose of this petition is to get pro-wrestling off network and basic cable and on paper view and satellite television where it will be less accessible to all the impressionable children of America and beyond. I will be sending this to all networks who have the audacity to air this violent programming which is the farthest thing from real wrestling that I have ever seen.
