To The View,
Nurses work unbelievably hard to take care of other people. It seems much harder than your job. You women sit and talk for hours after having your noses powdered by make up artists and wear designer clothes and are paid an exorbitant amount of money for your ignorance to be spouted on national television. Not everyone can stand beside a dying woman gasping her last breath pleading for you to help her. Staying calm, attempting to save her life, and remembering all you've been taught; all your training so she might have a chance at life because her children need her. Knowing her body has betrayed her and she is absolutely going to die. Then hold your head up, hold in your grief and keep a smile on, so you can give your best to take care of the person in the next room. Shame on you women for your comments. Step into our shoes and try to do what we do! Working 12-16 hours a day without using the bathroom, without a lunch break, and without getting home in time to make our family dinner or to put our children to bed because we were busy taking care of someone else's family! You're comments trivialize what we do and absolutely send the wrong message about the nursing profession. I work with some fabulous doctors who depend on us nurses to keep them updated on their pt's condition. We use a stethoscope so we can properly do that. #nursesunite.

Doctors' stethoscope and costume my ass. I wore that kind of a "costume" and carried MY stethoscope to work every day for 30 years in level one trauma centers and teaching hospitals across this nation. Evaluating and careimg of countless numbers of patients.
"The View" imsted and angered nursing around the world!!! Don't poss off the nurses !
