As a Nurse for 42 years I think its time Nurses got some recognition for the job they do, for people they don't even know. Its time to put a stop to ignorant and unlearned uneducated people, enough is enough.they try to destroy someones character for a laugh.

Please send a message that just because you're a celebrity you can't say anything you want and will not support any of the sponsors of the view I hope this show gets canceled and I hope that none of the people that work on the show including the five airbags that speak every day never need healthcare

No because they are NOT nurses and I would not allow either of them to take care of an ant in the ICU, ER, Med Surg, or anywhere near a hospital, rehab, or any medical facility in the world.

As Whoopie said in her apology if we had just listened we would understand their intentions. We did listen and we heard. Now its time for ABC to listen. These women are toxic and I don't believe their apology is sincere. Their dismissive attitude is unacceptable. Cancel the show.

I'm honestly not offended by much these days......and as a nurse we learn not to take things personally. But to get on national television and mock one of the BEST professions in the world is not a "joke" and should not be taken lightly. Not to mention instead of a sincere apology we get a slap in the face and are accused of not listening?!?! Listening is one of the fundamentals of nursing!!! The View is a joke and we need more Ellen Degeneres shows out there!

Proud to be a nurse!! Getting my degree was the hardest thing I have ever done. I sacrifice way too much to have a couple of ladies on TV belittle the title of being a nurse. What's next?? If they can't have the decency to respect the working class they are not worthy of their positions

Honestly, I hope it doesn't require this petition to shut down The View, but I hope that zero ratings will speak for themselves. We need to stop giving them free publicity boosts - positive or negative attention increases their ratings. Nurses will cross everyone's path sooner or later, so these insults affect everybody, not only us healthcare peeps. Is that the common misconception that what we do on a daily basis is just wear scrubs and hand out meds? That's what bothers me the most. The "ladies" of The View just don't get it at all. I would love to let them ride with me and let them experience a day as a home health nurse. You don't even have any "back-up" in your patients's homes, you're it. Or they could try out how it feels to run 12 hours on the floor, and see if taking care of way too many patients is not a talent. Their half-hearted apology doesn't mean anything to us, it just insulted us more, and I wish they could REALLY see what we do!

As a "Nurse", it is not only my job to care for those but it is my calling in life. No other job has ever gave me such satisfaction as I get from being a Nurse. No, it is a job that does not pay as well as being a NFL, NBA player, or even a member of the "View", but I save lives for a living and I use my "Doctor's" stethoscope to assist me every shift. What are your superpower's? One day you will need a "Nurse", and you know what you will get.... a genuine caring and compassionate person that will care for your needs...because we go without thank you's everyday...it's our job, our trade and our calling in life. That is how we roll!!!

a true apology would of made a difference, but to say "I wasn't even paying attention" come on not even a proper apology.
