I've been a nurse for 9 years. I was a single and worked my way through nursing school. I worked very hard to get my BSN. I'm extremely proud of it,and to hear pampered ignorant women put down my profession and then act as if we're the ones in the wrong for being upset really pisses me off. They have no clue how much nurses give to their jobs. How much we sacrifice every single day to care for others. The View needs to be shut down.

A heartfelt apology would have been good enough for me, but when the producers of the View aired their arrogant excuses as an attempt at an "apology" and then the insulting, attitude driven comments by Woopi and Raven... Well there is just no undoing that.

I have been a nurse 31 years and I have been very dedicated to taking care of my patients. I feel like nurses are underpaid and under recognized for all the hard work that we do.... It is easy for someone to sit and gossip without a worry in the world and be able to say it was a joke and the educated nurses didn't hear the joke right.. Easy out!! Take the show off the air!! I have had to give my own husband CPR to get him stable until the ambulance could arrive after he had a brain aneurysm.. He lived ten more days because of my skills.. I couldn't have done that sitting behind a desk talking about a whole profession of the most caring people in the world and then calling it a joke.. And to the contestant from the beauty pageant that came out in her uniform, with her stethoscope and told the beautiful story.. Thank you for making people see what nurses are!!!
