This is outright selfish and disappointing that you expect our SUFFERING seniors to do these end of the year senior projects when they can’t even celebrate in their graduation commencement. Where is your compassion when they need it most? And who is this really for..? How about we concentrate on all the hard work they’ve done through high school to get here...and not be celebrated? How do we fix THAT? How do we make THAT happen? Let’s focus on that rather than a senior project...

If the class of 2020 won’t be able to have their prom, senior sunset, graduation and other senior activities, then they shouldn’t have to do a project that will end up stressing them even more in this crisis. If they were in school then I would understand, but right not y’all are forcing them to do a project that won’t benefit them. The project was made for them to graduate and they won’t be able to do that so why give them the project. This may benefit OUSD, but not these kids. Y’all are putting them threw possibly the worst time of their life. Right now the kids are meant to be in school enjoying possibly the last time they would see each other for who knows how long, but instead they are home being forced to work on a project that won’t benefit them and they might not be able to see anyone from the school again. So I really hope someone in OUSD sees this and really thinks about what they can do to make the seniors who are already going through it right now life’s better and consider canceling the Senior Capstone Project.

I hope this is district wide and not just Skyline. It seems la distericte de ousd has lost zer minds. They expect students to both do and turn in ze projects without any plans to providing materials. Incredibal.
