In the chronology of various circumstances concerning the state of mankind, there exists an inevitable necessity to address, declare, and reaffirm the natural, unalienable, and absolute rights that the aggregate masses of BCA reserve, notwithstanding any state of affairs encompassing them. Recent events which have transpired approximately 8PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 has effectuated substantial disquietude and widespread discontent betwixt comrades of said congregation. It has compelled us aforementioned members to communicate our sentiments and cogitations, and to demand acknowledgment from and coadjuvancy of Administration. We, the collective body of scholars, pupils, athletes, and other individuals to whom this issue takes particular interest, demand the imminent cancellation of tomorrow's school day.

To put it in laconic terms, this decision is perfectly ludicrous. Expecting the students to adjust to a decision made at 8PM the night before is one problem. There is an evident lack of consideration for commuters via car and bus who are forced to traverse these difficult weather conditions to and back, all day. Furthermore it would be in best interest to let the BCA citizens themselves decide whether an appended day in June is better than a sudden schedule change in the middle of the school year or not. The fact that there have been immediate email responses in reply to the decision demonstrates that the majority of the student body prefer the former. I sincerely wish that the administration reconsider this decision and thereby reclaim their privilege of acceptance by us students.

I don't care personally because I don't have any commitments tomorrow, but I think it's unfair to students who already have plans to change so suddenly without warning or input from students. I think most people on this petition, at least, would like one more day instead of a full day.

The USABO is on Friday! A half day tomorrow would have been ideal for completing assignments due the next day early, allowing us to be well rested for the exam. A number of students were planning on using the half day to review. :/

As someone who has been looking forward to the half day as a time to catch up on lots of work, it is a shock that I will no longer have this time to work. Now I will have more stress on me and I won't be able to function at my highest potential in class on Thursday.
